When the day comes that you finally wear it out (or forget to replace the oil after a service that damages it) you can simply bolt on a new pump body.
In NZ labour costs are high, the cost to fully strip down a pump body and replace all bearing services would take 1 person day plus parts, hence it is not economic to provide for this level of servicing. Once you have a crank, big-end or small-end bearing failure the pump body is effectively scrap - unless you enjoy such tasks and do not value your time.
All the wearing parts are in the pump body, so if you replace the body it will be as good as new. The cost of a new pump body starts from 25% of the RRP for the complete SHP-TX.
Some clients who need to service their SHP-TX may decide to swap the body over and service the removed body as time allows - we think this is a good option.
Please note you can save yourself $100 if you can extract the splined motor shaft and glue it into the body with wicking loctite.
To remove the splined shaft you will need to place a 25NB steel tube (70mm long) over the splined shaft. Then put a large 50x50 M12 square washer over the M12 thread to sit on the tube end. Put an M12 nut on the shaft thread using anti-seize paste. Heat the 40mm female shaft that holds the keyed 24mm splined shaft to break the glued interface.
Tighten the M12 nut while heating, the force generated will pull the spline shaft out of the 24mm female hole so that is can be reused.
Clean up the old shaft and mating 24mm female hole on the new pump and with wicking loctite glue these parts together, allow 12 hours to dry before adding the motor assembly.
